So you're almost certain that you want to have Islington Town Hall as your ceremony venue.

This is going to help you decide that you definitely do - Just picture yourself in each of these locations!

Let's start with the steps!

Before you enter the stunning Town Hall, you're met with a set of steps (there is a ramp to the left for wheelchair access) but I want you think about 2 things when you see these steps; your group photos and the confetti exit!

As soon as you go inside, there is no way to miss the glorious marble staircase - This is another place that you have to photos!

They don't have to be posed at all, I mean, it's a staircase! But I always recommend that couples try and stay connected, so simply holding hands whilst walking up or down the stairs is perfect! Who would have thought that you could look great walking on a set of stairs!

Corridors, Corridors, Corridors!

Now, they say a picture is worth a 1000 words, so just take a look at the photo below. Stunning right?! So now you know that you have to include this photo location for your couple photos! (For context, this was a wedding in May, but the corridor is filled with windows so there is more than enough light for any month. If it was, though unlikely, a little dark, don't worry at all. This is where the flash comes in!!)

P.S. If you don't know where this is, or if you are having your ceremony in a downstairs room - Just ask if you can head up to the corridor by Room 99 for a few photos. Promise you, the staff are all incredibly helpful & never say no! (Well, I've never had a no! Haha!)

The Landing by the Marble Stairs

I know we started with the stairs but I couldn't let them have all the attention now could I? The landing is another perfect photo location (& top tip for photographers, standing on the landing - on the side by the ladies - is a great spot to capture the walking down the stairs shot or a group shot on the stairs.)

As a London based photographer, I've shot at the Town Hall quite a few times now and I really do love it there - Whether you have a large wedding party or a small and intimate one, it truly is a great venue. Your wedding photos will be stunning, and if you're like me and the architecture and historical feel is what you love, it's a perfect London location.
